Seth Eberle is a socially engaged puppeteer and theatre practitioner.  He is a recent graduate of North Dakota State University (May 2012) with a B.S. Degree in Theatre Arts and a minor in Visual Art.  Highlights of his career at North Dakota State University include working on traditional Japanese Kyogen masks with guest artist Tokuro Miyake, directing the newfangled theatre company production of Treefall, scenic designing LCT Productions’ Miss Julie, serving as a scenographic assistant for Pavel Dobrusky for the Nordnorsk Opera company of Norway, and being nominated for the Irene Ryan acting scholarship for performances in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and When the Bird Takes Flight.  He also interned with EngageU, a group of artists that serve as  a think and do tank for community and social interaction.  You can see their work at  Outside of school, Seth has apprenticed or interned with such puppet companies as In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theater, the Bread and Puppet Theater, Heather Henson’s IBEX Puppetry, and VEE Corporation.  Overall, Seth is interested in performance that engages both performer and spectator to change in a positive way and using performance in order to promote real human interaction.
